Shoe
Savers can dye or refinish almost any leather shoe, handbag, or small
leather
article. We have a complete dye facility on the premises. All colors
are
custom mixed for each and every job we do. Colors are never picked from
color charts, which are never accurate. All leather goods are
completely
chemically stripped. All cuts and nicks are filled and regrained
to
make
the surface as smooth as possible. Next, the color coat is carefully
sprayed using industrial spray guns
for a natural and original looking finish. We are now using elastomeric
acrylic
resins for all of our dyeing and refinishing. These waterborne resins
are extremely flexible, will not crack or peel, and dry completely
odorless. Once dry these finishes will remain soft to the touch and
feel just like the original factory finish. Your shoes and handbags
will never look as though they have been "painted". We can now
dye and refinish leather shoes and handbags such as Chanel ,YSL
,Ballenciaga, Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, and others that are soft,
stretchy, and flexible that were never able to be refinished before. All footwear is
polished and buffed by hand to impart a
soft luster and all edges are recolored. All handbags are finished with
a coat of waterborne urethane making for an extremely durable finish.
We can use these urethane coatings to produce finishes ranging
from totally matte to ones with a high gloss. We thoroughly clean
all hardware of any excess dye or over spray regardless of how
complicated or tedious before we return the handbag to you.
Exotic skins
such as alligator
and lizard are treated in a similar fashion. We use exotic refinishers
in a variety of colors to impart a high diamond like gloss seen on many
of these types of
skins. We can also duplicate some metallic and
pearl
finishes.
On the subject
of fabric shoes: We have recently installed a completely new
fabric dye system consisting of over 200 colors. Accurate color charts
now allow you to pick a color directly from color swatches. We no
longer have to try and mix colors from obsolete dyes and charts thus
saving us time and you money.
